“ Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser – in fees, expenses, and waste of time. As a peacemaker the lawyer has a superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough.”
– Abraham Lincoln
My Philosophy of Legal Practice
An attorney who is highly skilled at litigation — and is not afraid to use those skills — negotiates from a position of strength.
Over the many years I have been working in the courts in a wide and varied range of civil and criminal cases, I have matured as a litigator. While I never hesitate to advance a matter to trial where necessary, I am committed to the process of negotiation and dispute resolution. My focus is to achieve the most favorable settlement for my client at the least possible expense.
To enhance my practice skills, I secured certification as a mediator. Through exceptional programs in Manhattan, New York and in Miami, Florida, I have deepened and broadened my ability to help clients settle their disputes without the expenses of litigation. After completing a practicum in 2013 with the Lackawanna County Mediation Program, I met the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s standards to serve as a Court appointed mediator.
I value the trust all my clients place in me and offer in exchange my integrity, commitment and the very best of my abilities.
